Work in 'Slide Nite' event at Krakow's Photomonth

Past and present students of both the BA(hons) programmes in Photographic Art and Documentary Photography at the University of Wales, Newport have been invited to screen their work as part of this years Krakow Photomonth 'Slide Nite' event.



The following individuals work from Photographic Art is included in this event:

Amy Bullock, Jocelyn Allen, Michael Napier, Charlie Goldblatt, Louise Gibbs, Lavinia Drake, Emily Sinclair, Matt Lock, Sophie King, Nathan Gamlin, Owain Skyrme and Katy Stocker.

The May festival, whose 8th edition is devoted to British photography, will be focusing on British artists of undeniable international repute. Among them will be Martin Parr (Visiting Professor UWN), Jason Evans (SL Photography UWN), Mark Power, Anna Fox, Jem Southam, John Davis, Tom Wood, Tom Hunter, Richard Billingham, Greg Hobson, Aaron Schuman and many others.

Late in the evening on May 8th the area around Plac Nowy will turn into a huge open-air projection space. On the walls of the buildings and the local bars, you’ll be able to simultaneously see projections of photographs from Polish and British press agencies, Polish and British art schools, and photography magazines, and projects sent in to the ShowOFF section. The Kazimierz area has never seen such a show!
